Description
A different view of the trams from the bottom tram station at Saltburn-by-the-Sea
When the Saltburn Pier was opened in 1869 it was decided that the steep walk deterred people from walking from the town to the pier. When taken over by Middlesbrough Estates in 1883 it was discovered that the cliff house suffered from a few rotten supports. A year later the cliff tramway opened to allow for easier access between the pier and the town.

Great shot, Scott! Your composition is just right, to capture the words with the trams in the background!! The details of the buildings are so wonderful as well! fav/v9

Thanks Karen. I'm glad you like it. The usual view for the trams is from the top so I thought I would break the norm a little.
