Description

This over bridge sits over the River Foss in York city center. Sometimes called Foss Bridge it can date it's earliest incarnation back to when York was Viking controlled. The present bridge, which connects the streets Fossgate and Walmgate was erected in 1811 replacing the wooden bridge.
